
Ridgeview Elementary School would like to invite everyone to attend our "OPEN HOUSE", which will be held on Tuesday, August 5th, from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Please bring your child/children by to meet with their assigned teachers, drop off school supplies, and to get more familiar with the school and it's welcoming staff! We would also be appreciative for everyone to join us in welcoming our new principal, Dr. Chad W. Compton, Ed.D. , along with our two returning Vice Principal's, Mrs. Elizabeth Wallace and Mrs. Kayla Robinson!! Ridgeview Elementary administration and staff are very excited to begin the 2025-2026 school year and experience all it has in store for our wonderful students!!


Tuesday, July 15, 2025 is our next food pick-up at the Ridgeview Campus. The parent/guardian food pick up is from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We have planned for more meals this time, but once all meals have been distributed the site will close. If a student is not enrolled in Dickenson County Public Schools, a form will need to be filled out on site. Students must be 18 years or younger.

Dickenson County Public Schools first summer food distribution will be on Monday, July 7th between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. The meal packs will consist of 8 breakfast and 8 lunches with a gallon of milk.
Please look for signs and the tent when you enter the Ridgeview Campus.
This is for any child ages 3-18 regardless if they are enrolled in DCPS schools or not. If a child is not enrolled, there will be a form that will need to be filled out which includes the child's name and name of adult picking up the meals.

Just a reminder to parents of those students that are attending the Summer School Academy at Ridgeview Elementary. Classes began on Thursday, June 5th, beginning at 8:30 - 1:00 P.M. The Summer Academy will continue through June 27th. We look forward to seeing you next week on Monday, June 9th!

Parents & Guardians, tomorrow, Thursday, May 29th with be our Awards Day. Awards day will be held for 2nd through 4th grade with a promotion ceremony for our 4th graders. Your child should have received notice if they are receiving an award. All parents are asked to come in through the office entrance, closest to the outdoor ball fields. Children are asked to enter school prior to 8:00am and go to class for attendance to be taken. Parents will be allowed into the building at 8:15am. The program will begin promptly at 8:30am.
Kindergarten graduation will take place after school in the middle school auditorium. The first program will begin at 5pm and will be held for Mrs. Keen, Ms. McCoy, and Mrs. Wallace's class. The second program will begin at 6:30pm and will be held for Mrs. O'Quinn, Ms. Hall, and Mrs. Deel's classes.
We look forward to seeing you and celebrating the accomplishments of all of our children!

Good afternoon. Bus 49 students will load on bus 31, bus 31 students will be approximately 30 minutes late, bus 49 students will be on time. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

This message is for parents/guardians of students that have medications in the nurse's office. You child's medicine will be available for pick up beginning today, Tuesday, May 27th through Friday, May 30th. Please visit the front office and ask to speak with the nursing staff to retrieve your child's medicine.

**IMPORTANT REMINDER**
Friday is foam day. This will involve water and bubbly suds. Please ensure students have a FULL change of clothing. If a bathing suit is worn, clothing MUST BE WORN OVER THE BATHING SUIT during the entirety of the event. Shoes must also be worn the whole time.

Tomorrow will be a fun water day here at Ridgeview Elementary School. Please send a towel and complete change of clothing for your child. They are welcome to wear a bathing suit under their clothing, but their clothing MUST STAY ON over their bathing suit at all times.

The first annual Pass the Wolfpack Pride Ceremony for kindergarten students will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, May 20th at the Ridgeview High School football field at 11:30am. Our students will meet the high school seniors at the 50 yard line and will receive a medal symbolizing the wolfpack pride. It will be passed from our high school graduating class to our kindergarten students. We encourage our kindergarten parents and families to attend. If you would like to take your child home following the ceremony, there will be a designated check out tent available.
